The business is now by his grandson
Giovanni "Gianni", with the aim of increasing
the potential by specialising in the wine-making
sector, by searching for a continuous technological
and, above all, qualitative improvement, and by
being open to new bottling tecniques. The vineyards
are found in an area near Aquileia which, during
Roman times, played host to the Circo Massimo; the
"Marignane", which takes its name from
a small stream which once flowed there. This is
land which is naturally suitable for vineyards.
The propriety covers 13 hectares, with 6 hectare
dedicated to vineyards. Picking of the grapes is
carried out exclusively by hand, and the wine-making
is carried out at a controlled temperature in stainless
steel casks, with a part of the harvest fined in
oak casks using the "barrique" technique.
